The Pet Girl of Sakurasou

In a Japan not quite like our own, the "youkai" (supernatural creatures) have started living together with humans. Now, in an ordinary school, all sorts of "monsters" attend regular classes. A human boy, Oohashi Shingo, finds himself attracted to one of these creatures, a "petopeto" called Fujimura Hatoko. Petoko, as she is called, is a minor monster, with only the power to stick to something she adores. Like Shingo....

Haruka Tsuchiya is a plain and simple university student who has a pet by the name of Okojo-san. Okojo-san was actually born in one of the mountains in the North and brought to one of the pet shops to be sold. Determined to get out of the pet shop, Okojo-san formulated an escape strategy and ended up in the house of Haruka. There are always funny and strange occurances happening around the two, be it the people or animals who are near them. This is a gag anime in which absurdity is the main feature of the story.

For the longest time, it's just been the two of them. "Kanojo" and her cat Daru are inseparable, having grown up together. Now a junior in college, Tomoka—her roommate of a year and a half—moves out of their shared apartment, and in order to keep her living space, Kanojo must find a job. Day by day, Daru watches her continued efforts from a cat's-eye view, eagerly awaiting his owner's return. When she gets back, once again, it's just she and her cat. Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows is a charming short series about the bond between a pet and his owner.

In this world, cats aren't furry four-footed creatures, but human-like girls with ears, tails, and cat-like behaviors. Still kept as pets, they're allowed out on their own if they pass a special training and wear their bells. A young man running his own patisserie lives with two of these cats, Chocola and Vanilla, who help him out around the store. Maple and Cinnamon, two of the cats from home, also come in everyday, and together they enjoy a sweet life. Even if the cats don't always get along – and Azuki and Coconut certainly don't – things are peaceful and calm until a stray kitten follows Chocola home.
