Cat Tales

Based on Shoko Nakagawa's (Shokotan's) stories about her cats. The main characters of Omakase Mamitasu are 10 cats. Shokotan owns 10 cats in real life, and she adores one in particular named Mamitasu, the anime's namesake. The anime depicts the slapstick comedy of the idiosyncratic 10 cats and the folks in the unusual "Nakagawa family."

Takes place in the year 2200, where Japan has become a land of cats as the human population's birth rate has declined. In this future world, cats can talk, learn, and work. The story follows a high school girl and her argumentative cat.

When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!

A fantasy world with only cats as far as the eye can see. The awe and fear a person can feel in a world that doesn’t know mankind, the world of Cat City invented by HAGIWARA Sakutaro, is depicted with sense by the art of KANAIDA Etsuko. The commercial editor URAHAMA Shojiro edits the story narrated by the musician and poet MACHIDA Kou with a taste of fantastic for this new Ga-nime. Source: Toei-anim.co.jp
