OH! MY Konbu

Kobo Tabata lives in a typical Japanese family. His father is a normal salary-man, his mother's a typical housewife, his grandparents (from his mother's side) help to take care of the family and it's pets, and his uncle's a slightly obese high school teacher. Still, they manage to find odd situations that sometimes arise due to Kobo's growing up process or simply because of their own habits and misunderstandings.

Inspired by a book on Japanese cuisine written by British food writer Michael Booth, this family oriented foodie anime runs the gamut from chanko to yakisoba, and almost everything in between. Booth becomes obsessed with Japanese cuisine after reading about it, so he and his wife and their two young boys travel the length of Japan over three months, devouring everything in their way. If you're curious about okonomiyaki, or fearful of natto, you'll definitely enjoy this fun, light-hearted trans-national food voyage!

Six students are each getting on with their lives, and all of them will visit the nearby convenience store after school. Each goes there for different reasons: to eat ice cream after club activities, to get the latest issue of this week's game magazine, to purchase ingredients, to meet friends, or to stock up on their favorite food. The convenience store becomes the place they can relax and make small memories.
