Lupin the 3rd: Bye Bye, Lady Liberty

Inspector Zenigata is arrested, and the press claims ol' Pops was the true mastermind behind all of professional looter Lupin's heists! It doesn't take long for Lupin's pride to get the better of him, and wealthy magnate Roy Forest manipulates him into accepting a new challenge: stealing the “Time Crystal” within a week. The Time Crystal is a government secret gone public: a super-computer engine that can decrypt secure passwords faster than ever thought possible. But why is Jigen acting so strangely lately? What has become of the young piano prodigy who was recently kidnapped? And most of all, what is the strange connection between them all?

Someone sent orders to assassinate Lupin! Will he survive or die trying!? After the intrepid Inspector Zenigata is reassigned from the Lupin case to destroying the international weapon smugglers Shot Shell, master thief Lupin the Third decides to help the old man get his old job back. To infiltrate Shot Shell, the gang "borrows" a nuclear Russian submarine and enlists the help of a nuclear physicist named Karen, who keeps suspiciously eyeing Lupin's partner Jigen. If that weren't enough, Zenigata's Interpol successor is an assassin with orders to take out the entire Lupin Gang!

When Fujiko secures a file that documents the location of the fabled Columbus Egg– a mystical relic found by Christopher Columbus which can be harnessed to control the weather– she quickly recruits Lupin and the gang to track down the long-lost treasure. To prevent a sinister villain from finding the Egg, Fujiko memorizes the file and destroys it. Unfortunately, in the process, she contracts amnesia, changing her personality and wiping her memory of Lupin and his friends almost entirely. Can they restore Fujiko back to normal before the Egg falls into the hands of a madman?

Stealthy, smug, sharp, and silly. These words only begin to describe the greatest thief in the world, Lupin the Third. Ever at his side are the quick-draw sharpshooter Daisuke Jigen and the deadly, honor-bound swordsman Goemon Ishikawa Besides the countless fabulous treasures and priceless gems he pursues across the world, Lupin’s target is the heart of one Fujiko Mine, a buxom beauty who’s just as often Lupin’s rival as she is his girlfriend. But getting away with the gold and the girl is rarely as simple as it first seems. The clever Fujiko is eager to run off with the treasure for herself. And the dogged Tokyo Police Inspector Zenigata has transferred to Interpol just to chase Lupin and his globe-trotting gang across any and all borders! What’s an international master criminal to do?
