LOCA!

Ordinary life repeats itself every day. The succession of moments that we repeat over and over again is never the same, and everything changes and wavers. The moment we touch something, our consciousness can go to a place that does not exist anywhere in the past, nor in the future. In an uncertain and fluctuating world, only the feeling of the body touching something, which exists only in this present reality, can be recognized as “now”. That moment is lovely. In a seemingly ordinary rural town, something strange is happening to the residents. But Shizuru Chikura is more concerned for her missing friend. Determined to find her, Shizuru and three other girls board an abandoned train and travel to the outside world, unsure if they’ll make it back alive. As they venture toward the unknown, the question looms: What awaits them at the final stop?

Anthology movie consisting of three original animation segments: Q1 - ÆLIENS (エリィアンズ): Earth has entered an era of intergalatic exchange. Amidst swirling prejudice and fear of aliens, Elie, an alien girl, arrives as a space goodwill ambassador. She loves Earth's culture and its often absurd daily life, and has teamed up with a civil servant working at the space agency to search for "friends". Q2 - Yotsuyushika★Shoujo (夜露死駆★少女): GALs TOKYO, a city where morning never comes. Night after night, girls who have lost their place in reality, known as "Gal P", gather here. Their goal is to become the winner, the "Queen" in a game called "Queen of Butterfly" or "QoB" for short. Q3 - Nocturne: Kono Grotesque Yoru ni (ノクターン～このグロテスクな夜に～): A world after humanity has perished. Traveling in a van are Ayame, a pure-blooded vampire, and three girls who survived by being bitten and "infected" by her. There, they find a sky full of stars that illuminate the night as brightly as day, and fields of glittering golden grass—even a desolate world looks so beautiful through the eyes of a vampire. They enjoy a simple everyday life in this world left behind. (Souce: Official Website, translated)
